NFL Draft

I have not updated my blog in awhile due to an intense spring break. But now it is time to get back to the beginning of the 2005-2006 NFL season. The draft will take place on April 23rd and 24th. The Jets have the 26th pick in the draft because they had a good season in 2004 so they got a lower pick. The Giants gave up their first round draft pick to the San Diego Chargers last year as part of the package to obtain Eli Manning. So the Chargers will get the 12th pick in the first round of the draft. For more information on the draft go to http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft05/index.

  • The Giants are a bunch of idiots for giving up a first round pick for that hack quarterback Eli, who was brutally itroduced to the NFL by the Monster Defense of Philadelphia. If you ask me, which I don't care if you do, based on last season they need about 11 first round draft picks to even come in third in the NFC East. Good Luck in the draft though.

  • The giants are so dumb for giving up their pick. I mean Eli is good and they grab Plaxico but after that, they ain't got nothing. They need to take some lessons from the Birds. Maybe they'll start to win some games.

  • Eli Manning was a very smart choice for the Giants. They have not had a decent quarterback in years. The QB is the brains of the offense and needs to be top notch. WIth a little development Manning will be at the peak of his game. Any first round draft pick is still risky. Look at how many Heissman trophy winner in college have gone on to be.....wait, they went on to be bums out of the game in a few seasons. Do not worry. This may not be the giants year to win it all, but will be a huge change for a team that has struggles recently.
